Mechanical keyboard switches

Go to solution Solved by Silent_R493,

Have your tried any of them?

I always recommend a MX Sampler before buying a board.

Browns are more neutral in feel...the bump isn't as pronounced as blues but it is noticeable when pressing lightly and/or fast.

I prefer MX Clears (stiffer browns with a bump like blues) but I own and use MX browns.  the click isn't needed IMO (just the bump) if your using a headphones all the time.

I was always told that brown switches are fairly neutral switches and do good with both typing and gaming, and that the blue switches are more for typing. The problem with Cherry MX switches is that it mostly comes down to personal preference, it's best to try both and see which one you like.

do you want the click or the bump? which feels better to you?

this decision is totally up to you, its based on what YOU think is better. remember, you're the one that has to live with it.

personally, i love the browns

Yeah I'm deciding whether to get browns or blues as well. I'm leaning more towards a brown one, since I do both gaming and typing often and like people have said before is a fairly balanced key switch.

I just don't know whether the blue click will do more damage than benefit me, I like the sound but I'm not sure if I might find it annoying if I use it constantly. :P
