A 200 can move the same amount of air at a lower speed, but 120 have good directional airflow versions available.

Edit: Their are more brands of 120s as well so more options in terms of colour and performance.  There are much fewer amazing 200mm fan makers.

So the 200mm that came in my 500R is better than 2 120mm

if both have same blades and at same rpm 1 200mm moves more air

(2*120mm/200mm)= (pi*2*r^2)/(pi*r^2)=2*120^2/200^2= 0.72-->  two 120 mm move the 72% of a 200mm

you forgot to take into account the size of the hub at the center of the fans,  2 for the 120's and the 1 of the 240.  between the 2 120's the hub is also larger giving the fans a larger dead zone over the single 200

yes but i have no fokin idea how big are them; however it will just improbe the 200mm perfomance relative to the 120 mm even more

6cm on a 200 and 4cm on a 120.  I just measured the ones in my case. Don't judge me.

So 80mm of hub vs 60mm.

200mm fan landslide
