£1250 Digital Design/Gaming PC

Benjiro

Looking to build a new PC primarily geared towards digital design using Adobe Creative Suite. I'm planning to build the system next week and also plan to Overclock, I have a budget of around £1250 but could probably stretch to around £1500.

Thanks!

Something like this maybe. If you want to you can get a more "premium" motherboard, maybe one with sli support for the future. And ofcourse adding more storage (because of projects) is always an option. Because the you can install up to 32GB of ram i would go for 2x 8GB, but 2x 4GB will save you some bucks.

Enjoy

Thanks for the responses

In regards to cooling would a closed loop watercooling give me better performance as opposed to an air based cooler like the hyper evo 212 ?

Yes, but if you are not going for an aggressive overclock then it wont really make much difference

Very nice and if OP needs a monitor/keyboard/mouse/OS etc then plenty of money left

Well in that case, don't fuck around with SLI, isn't necessary with that monitor (something for the future maybe). Maybe you would like a better case than the Zalman Z3 Plus I did in my spec?

Or (call me crazy if you like) perhaps you don't want to blow the whole budget like a mug. Something for a rainy day perhaps? (Start saving up for a ROG Swift + extra GTX 980 or the AOC G2460PG)

I'd probably prefer a better case tbh lol, mainly something with good cable management and a side window ?

H440 for you! What colour? Black and; Red, Blue, Green or Orange, or the very nice White and Black? And a good AIO too maybe? Or a fatter heatsink maybe, the monsterous Phanteks and Noctua coolers are cheaper than most AIOs in the UK.

I am uncertain, adding the i7 to this will raise it the price by £100ish.

Edited in an option for the 4790k. Up to him now. I'd probably get the i7, but it is nearly £80 more.
