Fan controller

Go to solution Solved by spwath,

Just drove to frozen CPU and picked up 2 of the phobya's. They feel and look pretty good

@TheProfosist

Im loking to get a fna controller with 2 seperate chanels for under 15$

Would 2 of these be the best? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/984/bus-08/Zalman_FAN_MATE_2_Variable_Speed_Fan_Controller_FanMate-2.html

Must be avalible at frozencpu, be under 15$, not take a 5.25 inch bay, and have 2 chanels. I guess it can take a 3.5 inch bay, but id rather it not.

Why not use the mb headers?

non PWM fans

Why you dont want a face fan controler?

No 5.25 inch bays in my case

^ this with PWM fans and you are set

No PWM fans

Anything has two channels...

?

@spwath If you want one of the ones in the OP I have a few around here as Zalman use to throw them at you whenever you bought anything from them.

I also have some inline resistors that might accomplish what you want.

Also @spwath the one in teh OP just does one fan unless you split it and needs to plug into a MB header unless you have an adapter to molex.

I can give you a few resistors yes but not the fan controllers. I can however sell them to you cheaper than FrozenCPU.

But I do have the same question as @nanowatt why not just use the MB fan headers?

I have some resistors.

Not pwm fans.

I'll get the other one I linked, all sleeved up nice

It says:

"The voltage is adjusted with a small potentiometer and the unit draws power via a 3-Pin connector. With adapter cables, even more possibilities can be found for connection of the unit. "

So how small is that potentiometer because I dont see it in any of the pics.

Most on baord fan controller do both PWM and voltage control. Or many time ones the CPU header does PWM and the chassis ones are still voltage control.

Their pics are wrong, and if you click the zoom in thing it does the potentiometer. Google shows it to

Split it off unless you need to control them independently. Also heres the correct pic for that device. Its basically the same as the zalman but sleeved http://goo.gl/dxGXzp .

I think it's exactly the same but sleved. I want them separate as my aerocool is much louder than my ap123 at 12v
