Looking for a laptop

I'm looking to get a laptop for around $1000 or LESS. I do NOT need a gaming laptop, I highly doubt I'll do any gaming on it.

 

I'd like a laptop with a nice display, good battery life, and decent specs for $500-$1000 basically.

that sounds like a macbook to me.

 

good build quality, very good battery life, and a proper screen
