Same monitor, different batch. That is the problem.

For consumer grade monitors, manufactures, to meet demand, may choose the same components but form different manufacture, like the monitor back light. This results in the monitor not being identical.

That is why we say, that if you want a multiple monitor setup, and this kind of thing will bug you, it's best to buy your monitor at the same time, from the same place, to minimize the chances of having the monitors come from different porduction batch. Also, revision of the monitor might change colors. A manufacture might adjust colors in a newer revision.

To reduce the visual effect (but expect to still be there), you can get your monitor model that comes with manufacture calibrated profiles. As a quick calibration is done, it will minimize the visibility of the different back light, or panel revision and such. It's still there, but the difference will be small.

It is also important that you use the same type of connector, and use everything Digital format. So DVI, DisplayPort, and if you must HDMI.

You should also see if your graphics card doesn't alter colors on your HDMI. It might think you are using it with a TV, and set the color to limited, and not full.

You want to make sure you want to set it to Full
