CrossFireX vs. SLI - Microstuttering

What has more microstuttering, SLI or Crossfire?

Crossfire by miles. Thats not even an overstatement. SLI is miles ahead, it gets to a point where a 7870 which is better then a 660 ti is beaten in dual,tri or quad solutions because nvidia are monsters when it comes to scaling.

Crossfire suffers from runt and dropped frames. SLI pretty much doesn't.

SLI is waaaaay better :) if you want power / dollar its AMD if you want awesomeness and the ability to run multiple cards.. NVIDEA and SLI :D

Tbh, having been using xfire 7970s for aover a year I can honestly say that the micro stutter is not all that bad. Ive only ever really noticed it in Skyrim.

It is a fact that xfire suffers from it more than sli but if you cant see its not really a problem.

The 690 is even smoother as it uses a hardware-based solution.

Likely, as it's been around since 8000 series iirc. Nevertheless 690's implementation works better.

Crossfire. The problem probably won't be fixed by at least next gen, but most likely the one after.

I have dual 7770s, I had stuttering but then i disabled ULPS and everything is fine maybe you guys should do that or maybe have Radeons in crossfire before you just say yeah crossfire big stutters, Its really not bad like Nexus said if you cant see it why is it a problem. I say neither they are both good for different things.

I wish AMD would invest more time in their Crossfire setup's, would really swing the battle.
