KVM that i can game on

Mads-Ejnar

Hallo. :D

I have a gaming pc and i am building a HTPC :)

I like to have a KVM on those 2 pc so i can use the HTPC to surf on the internet an watch movies and save some power ;).

But when i want to game i will like to use the same keybored and mus and monitor :D but i don't know that much about KVM, and whether they are fast enough for gaming (latency) ?

Do some one here know about a great KVM whit DVI and 2 USB port that works whit 2 pc and are fast enough for gaming?

Hope to here some good news :D

I have a 4 port ATEN DVI 2 port usb kvm switch that I use for gaming. I ca't tell you the model because it's bolted under the table, however it was bought somewhere in 2008.

I haven't experienced any issues with input lag.

You could look into buying a separate monitor and http://synergy-foss.org/ Software based solution, allowing you to multitask on gaming PC and HTPC simultaneously.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817399030 something like that might work. Look around though.
