windows 8.1 black screen

Windows 8.1 won't even start I won't even see any windows sign

Right after I see the ram thing it just blacks screen but its still turned on

The cause might be because I stopped an update by force offing my comp I couldn't update it it kept failing

Please help me find a solution to this

And also please tell me how to make it so that I can manually update my PC so that this will not happen again

You probably installed the update that breaks Windows. You'll have to reinstall

Will anything happen to my PC if I download a new genuine one

I found windows 8.1 with a promo price ATM?

Heh, had this problem a few days ago. If you want a better OS I would just jump over to W10 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview I did, and it's a lot more stable from 8/8.1. If you get a "Locked harddrive error", you might have to format your drive. (Happened to me about 20 times in the year of owner 8.1)
