Hello Folks,

Since few days I am doubting on getting a new mouse again!

See, Since 2 months now, I have the Roccat Kone XTD. It's a nice mouse, for right hand like me, with some options and nice features.

But here is the problem,  The mouse doesn't feel always right for me. It's confortable butI have trouble handling it sometimes.

So I was looking at the Steelseries Sensei. It has some pretty neat feature and I would like people that own that mouse to answer that thread. I am a CSGO player mainly (only), no COD, no BF, CSGO all the way.

Are the features really good and helpfull for gaming? (like this features that keep the pointer in a straight line (no jerkies)).

The lifting option? I tend to lift my mouse often so...

Is it really confortable for right hand and left hand?

Did you see any improvement in your gaming? confort?

My grip is more of a Claw Grip.

Nice sweet answers would be awesome.

I use the steel series sensi pro and It is very nice to use. There is a lcd on the mouse which alows you to adjust all the settings you want i noticed a big difference in accuracy going to a laser mouse but that might be my mind playing tricks on me I would highly recommend it.

If you gotta have steelseries I'd go rival, its got a "perfect sensor" without any acceleration, which is a must for serious CS:GO players.

If you are planning on getting a sensei, get the rival instead, It has a better sensor and grip.

You can use this google doc as a reference for mice with a good sensor for First person shooters:

Try the shape if you can, before buying, that's the best way to decide if the mouse suits you

I would not advise Sensei's: All Avago 9500 and 9800 sensors (currently Pixart) have 3 to 5 percent of random acceleration, which, in my opinion, is only clearly noticable if you compare it to a mouse with no acceleration. Check the esreality forums for the tests.

This does not mean some pro players have achieved some great results with the Xai/Sensei, but almost all of these players are moving to the Rival.

I liked the idea of Having a linear trajectory of my mouse, that could help a lot 'cause, I am a bit jerky time to time

When you say perfect sensor, you mean the optical sensor? On FPS, does it really make a difference laser sensor or optical? How does this can be distinguish?

I cannot try the shape as my city isn't fully aware of this kind of product....I will have a look at the document.

Also make sure you have the Mark C mouse fix applied on windows:

http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.be/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html

If you have never played without mouse acceleration before, this fix will come as a big change.

Also enable rawinput of the mouse in games if they provide it.

The command in CS:GO is : m_rawinput 1

laser mice (using consumer grade laser sensors) are currently not yet optimized to give a 1-to-1 tracking of mouse movement to cursor displacement. This has been proven by a lot of people on the esreality forum.

Some info from Linus (optical vs laser):

Take that video with a grain of salt, as higher DPI also means more noise/interference.

Linus explains it here:

Check this thread for some background info:

Conclusion: get an optical sensor from the google doc I linked earlier, as those sensors offer the best tracking.

Okido, thank's dude! I guess I'll go most probably for the Rival, but it will be only after checking that doc.

I have used one and it is good, i guess. It is like a bar of soap imo, but still. All my friends who play CSGO have them and they praise it.
