multiple problems with internet (windows 10)

PJemus
Go to solution Solved by Ssoele,

there was an update recently, and i have reinstalled drivers since then but it is still problematic.

Try to change back to 8.1. The technical preview is not meant to be used as a day-to-day OS yet and you will often encounter problems like this.

I had installed windows 10 on my PC a few days ago, and just last night there have been some problems with my internet,

some of the time it works, sometimes it doesnt. i have tweaked the settings so that it will hopefully stay up long enough to type this post.

here are some error messages i have been getting:

one or more network protocols are missing on this computer.

"ethernet" does not have a valid IP configuration

default gateway is not available

I have tried every standard solution for each of these issues but nothing has worked.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled my driver for ethernet, but when internet connection dies, it usually kills both ethernet and wireless.

i have been trying to download WarThunder but the download is very irregular, and tends to jump up high, then slowly go down in speed until 0b/s, then instantly jump back up to 1.5mb/s.

I have been searching through forums during periods of having internet and have found nothing that helps.

I have attempted to enable DHCP and IP routing but neither worked.
I have tried restoring my system to a previous point (about 9:00 GMT +12 on 9/10/14)
and that helped for about 30 minutes but then it died again.

I have run malwarebytes full system scan and rootkit beta, and found nothing.
I have tried disabling ipv6
one thing i have noticed:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : Orcon
i am running spark internet, not orcon.

not sure if that is relevant.
i have a technicolour gateway v2.

my speedtests are usually 100% normal speeds, even when downloading war thunder is at 0b/s and pages do not load.

sometimes pages dont load and war thunder wont download, yet troubleshooting comes up with no issues.

I know that this is not a 'windows 10 is just buggy' scenario because for about a day i was on my friend's internet and it worked fine, then at home the next day it also worked fine. also, if it was that buggy, they wouldn't have released it, or you would hear more people complaining.

i can provide more details if you need me to.

-snip-

I'm guessing that it's causing conflicts with your drivers.

Drivers are known to crash and not be very stable with the developer preview.

Try reinstalling your drivers.

If there was an update for the preview, you just found your answer.

You have to wait until microsoft releases another update. It is that update's problem.

Guess you're out of luck...  :(

Sorry..

the only reason i have it is because there were major file corruptions on my windows 7, and windows 10 was the only iso my friend had at the LAN party. and now i dont have enough internet to download a new iso.
