Not the same model, make, or cooler but to SLI a 780, you need a 780.

It has to be the same card, but not from the same company, so you could mix a EVGA 780 with an ASUS 780 just fine, but you can't mix a EVGA 770 with an EVGA 780, or a 4GB 760 with a 2GB 760.
