i think you can get a 4gb stick of g.skill for like $30

 

Edit: although now that ive looked i dont see gskill selling single 4gb stick, corsair has a vengeance stick @ 1600mhz for $35 at my local shop shouldnt be to different wherever you are

You could really go anything that is 1600mhz assuming your motherboard supports it.

 

Gskill, Corsair etc are all built pretty well.
