Mobo: BIOSTAR A960D+

Processor: AMD 1045T

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB BLS8G3D1609ES2LX0

Graphics card: AMD 6670

Power supply: Corsair 430CW

I just got my parts today and I built it and it wouldn't boot.  Legitimately no power.  I reused the processor from a build that failed a few months back.  It was either the processor or the motherboard that died on me, but I had no was of testing as I didn't have another AMD processor. I would of instantly thought it was the processor that died, but I ended up scrapping the bottom of the motherboard PCB with pliers while trying to remove the motherboard standoff that got removed when I tried removing a screw. Would that of stopped the motherboard from booting or should I purchase another processor?

Thanks.

I'm a little confused. Why were you doing that with the motherboard? Anyways, you sure the PSU is even on?

  • 1 month later...

You should've been more careful... Why were you using the pliers so close to the motherboard!? Really...

Try bridging the green wire to any blacks on your 24 pin connector, then turn it on with the switch at the back.
