Build log: Project Venom

Theme back story:

Hey all, this project is some what of a old theme I never really got off the ground over the years since I first had the idea. Back when everyone had Red, Green or Blue lighting themes and tri-coloured led fans where all the rage. I had an idea to build a UV Purple themed build. Back then UV or even purple products where limited to cold cathodes or custom built DIY LEDs. So 2014 is near it's end and this year has seen some brand micro atx mini itx cases hit the market this year. One of which I build my fiancée's new PC in, which can be seen here.

Now a month later and having gotten jelly of her new tiny case with it's purple lighting I found my self endlessly reading reviews of all the available matx/itx cube cases that are around. Trying to find one that can fit the hardware I want to run. But my biggest problem is I have an matx mobo, 3.5" drives I want to keep internal, a nice fat 200mm rad that I'm just not willing to part with in my loop. And a burning desire to go small again. I currently have a Corsair 600T graphite with a nice red/white/black theme going on.

Then 2 days ago somewhere deep in my Google image search list, what's this! A new contender... The AeroCool X-Predator Cube... and it's in sexy as hell dodge viper green. (and Iron man if that floats your boat).

So... Welcome to Project Venom, The love child case mod I'm finally happy to be building. This may take a while.... but I hope you enjoy my progress as much as I will.

*note: I will be adding high-res photos and maybe even a video or 2 during the build process as well.

Log #1 - 7/10/14 - Concept.

Concept - The basis of this build will be a beautiful metallic green & carbon fibre chassis, with a strong deep purple glow illuminating from within. There are a few secrets I will be adding to the build that I don't want to spoil until the time is right. But they are very suiting for the build and theme. They are basically finishing touches.
