Planning on buying the Asus x99-E WS in the next week or so. Was looking at some images and noticed this connector in the middle of the board. What connection would go into this? Just a regular pci-e cable? PSU I'm getting for this build is the EVGA 1000G2

I believe that's auxiliary power to the PCI-E lanes in 3 or 4 way SLI or Crossfire setups, I may be wrong.

 

EDIT: To answer your question, yes, those look like PCI-E connectors.

Standard PCI-E Power. For SLI/CFX configurations that draw a lot of power so the 24-pin doesn't bust a nut.
