Hi guys,

I just ordered one of those amazing 8 inch baytrail full Windows 8 tablets from China for around £80. And I would like to get a keyboard case for it. Problem is all the tablet keyboard cases advertise that they work no problem with "USB on the go" compatible devices. I'm guessing this is a standard for mobile devices. My question is does Windows 8 support this USB OTG?

Thanks in advance

USB OTG means you can use an adapter to turn a MicroUSB port into a full size USB port, allowing you to plug regular USB devices into tablets and phones without full size USB ports.

A tablet keyboard case that is USB OTG means that it's wired and plugs into the MicroUSB on your tablet. Keep in mind though that as a result, you can not charge your tablet and use the keyboard at the same time.

OTG is literally an adapter adapting from full USB to microUSB so you can use it on phones and whatnot, this isn't needed for windows unless your device uses microUSB like a tablet maybe

okay. I am sorry.

WIndows 8 should support OTG, but it is picky about what cable you use for some weird reason.
