Steam error code -118

So i cant go onto the steam market/store or websites. this started happening 2 days ago. I googled it but i cant find anything mostly because the answers are on steam websites...

check for Malware, especially anything that does dns routing, if that brings up nothing try pointing your DNS to something like google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 

it could just be your ISP's DNS being Rubbish.

How do i do that DNS thing. bit of a network noob

malware is things like Trojans and the like but some screw up DNS to capture bits of your internet use 

use this https://www.malwarebytes.org/ to scan and remove

its the process that turns the names we type like http://linustechtips.com/ into the Ip addresses our computer understands ie 198.41.188.5 http:\\198.41.188.5

 

basically its like the post office transfering mail from one person to another.

 

TO edit your DNS, Find the Connection icon on the bottom right of your screen and click "Open network and sharing center" 

 

find your Active Connection and click on it, then click on Properties, find Internet Protocal Version 4(IPV4) in the list then click Properties, Click in the Radio button for use the following DNS server addreses, 

 

then input 8.8.8.8 as primary and 8.8.4.4 as secondary. 

 

then click ok / Close / close and test

I know about the virus stuff im using malwarebytes right now Do I just look up 8.8.8.8??? or do i have to do some more complicated stuff

I wrote the steps in my last post ---
