*DISCLAIMER, ADMINS I AM NEW TO USING FORUMS AND NOT QUITE SURE HOW IT WORKS YET, SO IM SORRY IF BY STARTING A NEW TOPIC I STUFFED UP SOME OF THE RULES, FEEL FREE TO REMOVE THE POST AND PM ME WHAT I SHOULD OF DONE SO I CAN FIX THE MISTAKE*

So guys, as I said above, I am new so please dont go off at me if I did something wrong, but you already read that so im going to get on with it, this is my build and I might as well tell you all the story building up to it, and like a project car, its never finished.

 

A few years ago I had a laptop, quite a good laptop for what I was doing on it at the time (Compaq Presario CQ56 103TU) and I didnt know as much about computers as I do now so I didnt know how to fix it (HDD died) so I went for a few months without a computer and at the time I didnt have a smart phone either .

 

I didnt end up getting it fixed but my mum got me a new computer for my birthday and that was a HP Pavilion 20 B021A AIO PC, it was a good looking computer and in the store I tried it out and it was quite good, but I couldnt really go on youtube to test it out properly, so we ended up buying it and thats how it went. I was just starting out on youtube then with about 10 or less subscribers (As of now, 211) and I used to upload the plain video file with no editing or anything like that, so it did the job just fine (Other than my crap-tastic Australian internet). A few months later in that year I came across a youtube channel and got involved with the guy running it, as time went on I joined facebook groups and we had a whole community going and I obviously started learning more and more. 

 

With learning more and more I come across Sony Vegas Pro 11 and started using that, when I started using that and making more frequent youtube videos (My channel is mostly tech related) I soon discovered that that computer was a POS, due to not having a job I couldnt just go out and order a new computer, I had to put up with it and I used it as a main PC for the rest of that year. From the November of that year I decided enough was enough so I went on eBay and was about to buy a used Dell something or other with a C2D, yes it was older but it would of been much faster, for some reason the guys PayPal didnt work so I couldnt buy that, then I thought, 'Well, I have learnt so much over the last year and I would like to build my own computer', so thats what I did, I (thank god!) got myself a job later that month after months of trying so I had constant money coming in and by the February I was on PC Case Gear and ordering my as I call it 'Desperation Build', I dont need to go any further with why I call it that.

Ram - G.Skill ARES (8GB)

CPU - Intel Core i3 3540

GPU - Gigabyte GTX 630

Case - CM K350

Cooler - Antec Kuhler 650 AIO

PSU - Corsair CX500M

Main HDD - 500GB Hitachi 7200RPM  (From the Pavilion)

Secondary HDD - 500GB WD Blue

Main Monitor - Samsung SyncMaster P2250

Secondary Monitor - Dell 1907FP

Keyboard - Razor BlackWidow Stealth Edition 2014

Mouse - Some old Logitech thing what came with my mums old computer from 2003

Speakers - Logitech z506

I'm impressed by the cable management. My first build looked nowhere near as clean as this in the beginning.
