Audio not playing through ear-phones

So I plugged my Apple ear-phones to my laptop, but when I play music or anyother sounds it just play through the speakers, not the ear-phones. Some online articles say that I should check the "Playback devices" option but my ear-phones don't show up there and I don't know what to do now. Can anyone help me please?

Your earphones might show up as "speakers" or something similar, with your audio driver as the source.

my rear audio shows up as "Speakers" via Realtek HD audio, however it plays through my Razer Surround Audio Controller.
