About 2-3 months ago, I purchased a Logitech G710+ as my first mechanical keyboard and now I am looking for something a little sleeker and professional looking to match my new shiny Corsair 750d.

I actually really like the Vengeance K70 RGB, and I've got my eye on it, but my only concern would be going from the brown keys of the G710+ to a non-tactile feedback key in the K70.

My concern is how drastic of a change is it going from MX Browns to MX Reds, as far as typing accuracy and experience in game goes? I'm no expert typist, but I can average ~85 WPM and I'm still pretty sloppy even using browns. Anybody out there that has made the transition from Browns to Red that would have some background knowledge before I make a leap of faith? Would appreciate any information anybody might have :)

Thanks

Reds will be like browns without that slight bump mid-click. Otherwise they are very similar switches.

iirc corsair is making a MX Brown version of their K70 RGB

Just going to say that you can get the K70 in browns so no need to worry ;)

Don't know much about the different key switches though so can't comment on reds vs browns etc.

I heard the same thing about the K70 RGB with browns, but I think the MX Brown K70 is going to be a part of the Corsair Gaming series as opposed to the Vengeance series, and I don't wanna wait too long down the road and find out that Corsair has discontinued the Vengeance series once again and get stuck with the icky new Corsair logo.
