Live Update 6 Failure - Fresh Install?

So, a dude I know desided to update his BIOS or whatever it was using Live Update 6, after it was done the computer wouldnt boot, nothing happened, it doesn't even boot in safemode. USB Doesn't work nor does his HDMI/Monitor. My question here is, will a fresh install of Windows (Formatting the drive) help with this error?

The motherboard that he has is a MSI Z87-g45 Gaming btw

Edit: He has a MSI Z77-g45 gaming

No dual BIOS on that one. He should try clearing the CMOS and if that doesn't work, take it to a repair shop.

That's why you should never flash your BIOS unless you're trying to fix a problem or are certain you'll get some worthwhile benefit...

I should listen to my own advice!
