I built her a pc a few months ago. Sadly she lives very far away so I have to diagnose it from here. She is getting "screen fluttering" which I assume is flickering. She was playing wow and it started to act up. I'm gonna have her take a video, not sure if it's just wow or not. Only check her settings and try a new driver and check her connections. She's using beta 13.2.

Her specs :

I7-3770

ASrock H77

2x8gb ddr3 1600

sapphire hd 7950 x

Xfx 550w 80+ bronze

Rosewill case

Xt3 cm cpu cooler.

Samsung 840 ssd

Seagate 1tb hd

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

She's 53.

But I am going to test both of these when she wakes up

Tell her to drop the 7950 down to stock clocks.

Nothing is overclocked.

Have you tried using radeon pro, its pretty awesome software to help with AMD GPU's.

Also my guess is that it's the beta drivers fault. (make FC3 do crazy things for me.)

Link to forum thread on radeon pro.

I agree but I find it strange that I don't believe anything has changed in the 2 months she's been playing.  But first I'll have her check connection then update drivers.  I'll have her uninstall CCC reboot then reinstall.

Oh, never mind then :D

She's like my second mom.  She sent me a 2,000 dollar check to build her 2 PC's despite only knowing each other over wow for 4 years now.

I had her uninstall all AMD software, rebooted, install the newest drivers 13.4, rebooted.  Now under CCC and MSI after burner her core clock was reading 460/825.  GPU-Z was reading it properly, but I had her change it in MSI afterburner, and I had her hit reset and it stayed the same.  Despite the card not having adjustable voltage even when unlocked in MSI Afterburner, it read 1.244V.  Now chances are the card is locked at 1.25V, but weird how my vapor-x is at 1.125 with a cap of 1.3V.  She uses a Sapphire HD 7950 Dual X (2x6 pins).  She's gonna test it tonight and see if it's a wow only issue.
