We've seen the GTX 970 wrestle with the reference R9 290 and R9 290x pretty well. However, this deal resusitates one of the decent aftermarket R9 290 as a nice price/performance candidate.

I thought gigabyte is one of the worst aftermarket r9 290 due to cooler.

It's not bad, not the best but at that price, I'd wouldn't pay 150 $ more for a different one.

Early wind force 290's had a flaw that was fixed soon after. They are better than most but not the best as far as after market 290's went.
