Red vertical lines in laptop screen help

anyone know of how to get rid of a vertical red line on a laptop screen?

Same happening to my laptop, but sometimes the lines disappear. BTW the lines i get are kinda blueish green

sounds like a pixel problem, you need a new screen.

its for a friend that doesn't have enough money for one, all she needs it to wright documents, the private school where i work was throwing them out so i gone one

That's probably why they were throwing them out.

And she's gonna have to live with it. Nothing you can do about a broken LCD. :(
