Will it work?

My father's colleague bought a tablet, Acer Iconia B1 730HD, and now he want's to connect it to internet using an internet dongle over OTG cable... I advised him to just install internet in his home (he seriously doesn't have it), but he wants to go over that dongle... Now, he tried and it won't connect...

 

Now, is it even possible to connect using OTG cable and internet dongle, or was i right in advising him to install internet in his home

Depends. If the dongle has Linux support, what it doesn't look like btw, it wil work.

I don't know, since i didn't see it (i was at school...), but i think it should be a Huawei dongle, since, i think, all of the carriers here use them...

Yup, he doesn't any internet, even less wi-fi...

It is, I use it on a cheap tablet via internet dongle (Huawei something), but you need to check if the dongle has Linux support. Depends on the type of dongle, but yes, he should get internet in hes house, it's the 21st century!

I see, i'll check it, when i get a hold of his tablet and that dongle (i'm busy with school...) Btw, i'm also from Serbia

Seriously, he only has cable, not internet, and he also doesn't have a computer/laptop... He now only has that tablet...
