I'm currently rocking a 300R but realized that I could probably go for a smaller build later on in the near future.  All I really want is a small case that can stay cool and quiet.  I'd love to be able to have my mobo horizontally but I'm not sure if that would happen.

I've been looking at the 250D in particular and I love how it looks, but I was wondering if anyone else had other ideas.

Here's my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pDkHx

I do realize I'd also need a new mobo, but I guess I can save suggestions for that for another thread.

Thanks!

if you are looking for mitx, the node 304 is pretty good.

The prodigy has good airflow, but is on the larger side and lacks meaningful dust filtering. The node 304 is really rather small, has decent airflow and can support a fairly powerful setup, so long as the PSU isn't huge in length. The 250D is kind of the safer choice, as it has good airflow, dust filtering, high end hardware support and lots of cable management space. The 380t is a nice looking, easily portable case but has one or two slight issues with it, but are easy to overlook.

Have you considered the Air 240? Perhaps something else like the phanteks enthoo mini xl? althought the second one is about as tall as a mid tower case already, but it's supposed to have good airflow and plenty of dust covers.

Unless you want to replace your MoBo, you're stuck with the ATX form factor, and mid-tower is the smallest you can get.

The Bitphoenix Prodigy is good for air flow, but isn't really all that small. I'd actually suggest the Cooler Master Elite 130 and go with a 120mm radiator water cooler for the CPU if you're willing to start replacing parts. Yeah, it's a cheap case but it's small and has great airflow for your GPU and supports water cooling for the CPU (only a single 120mm radiator though), which are the two hottest parts of a build.
