Hi, its good but you can save a lot of money with that build. There are cheaper options for some components. Unless you picked them just because of looks.

All ROG boards are overpriced but if u chose it for the looks then get it. that system could be powered by a 550w-650w psu unless u plan on going sli in the future other than that looks fine.

Decent, but I would get a crucial MX100 256gb SSD, get 2 4gb sticks of ram, not 4 2gb sticks. Also, get a WD blue or Seagate barracuda 1tb drive instead of the WD black, there isn't much need for it and you'll save some money for elsewhere. The PSU would be better if you got a EVGA supernova 650W, and the cooler would be better as a noctua NH-D15 or something like a NZXT kraken X61.

if you got the maximus 7 ranger, or even a cheaper one like the gigabyte gaming 5, then you could potentially with all the saved money get something else for the build.

What case is this going in BTW?

Well..yes. It fits your budget and it outperforms single 980 for almost the same price. And single 970 is just slightly slower than 980 so I see no point of picking two overpriced 980s. And you can still throw 1440p monitor in your build and play on ultra with this setup.

THIS: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YqGpD3

It has a 970, a 4690K because there is almost no price difference between the 4690K and the 4670K, Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600 8GB 2x4GB because it looks mad and you can upgrade to 16GB quad channel down the road, a Fractal R4 which looks uber awesome and fits well the other parts(and it's so sexeeh), but you can change that to anything you like, also the cable management is good in this one.

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

Updated version with 3, YES, 3 WAY SLI GTX970's http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4hVxTW

It has 3 way SLI, so you can play any game at 4K on ultra @60+FPS on a single monitor, the 850W 80+Gold PSU powers it all without breaking a sweat. The SSD is 128GB,but the HDD is 2TB @7200RPM so you don't have to worry about storage.

Those 3 cards are going to bottleneck that cpu :/
