Its not worth going to z77 either. You only get pcie 3.0 with a ivy-bridge or haswell chip. You could stay at your p67 and oc the cpu a bit.

Hey guys,

 

With Haswell kicking up a fuss, I think I've finally decided that it's not worth the upgrade from my 2500K. The marginal improvements and increased heat are just not worth £400 to me at the moment. That being said, I'm currently on a P67 board, and I've been wondering whether I should bother going to a Z77 chipset board?

 

Would I, with the 2500K chip, see any advantages for moving to a Z77 chipset board?

 

Would I get full use of PCIe 3.0, so upgrades to the GPU will be less bottlenecked?
