i'm fairly new to reading fiction but i'll have to pick it up. the basis of the story seems good just the film poorly executed it.

Definitely a great graphic novel. The movie butchered it IMO. Have you seen the movie?

I've only watched the ultimate edition of the movie (very long, and has the Tales of the Black Freighter stuff in it). I really liked it, though I have yet to read the book.

Is hush any good? After V for Vendetta i was planning on reading that, and Watchmen was not separate Comics it was strictly a graphic novel. But that was just an exception.

Hush is awesome. There is a difference between Hush and Hush Unwrapped though. I was a newb when I bought it and didn't know any better. To my knowledge the only difference is that Hush Unwrapped is the "bonus features" version of the original Hush graphic novel. None of the panels have color and it looks like they collected the early illustrations/drafts together to make the book. You'll see what I mean if you ever check it out because I'm having trouble describing it.
