Windows 8 startup

Hey guys my PC has recently been freezing up at start up. The Windows sign would start spinning then stop spinning. I have to hold the power button to shut it down and reboot it that way, when I click the reboot button nothing happens. I am also running windows 8. I have an OCZ agility 3. Does anyone know a solution to this, or a way that I can fix it?

CPU: i7 3930k 4.5ghz CPU COOLER: Be quiet dark rock pro 3 MOBO: MSIx79a-GD45 PLUS RAM: G-Skill 16GB  GPU: MSI 780 TF  Storage: 2tb seagate and 60 GB OCZ ssd PSU: corsair CS750M

Update to w 8.1 

"SFC /SCANNOW" type that in command prompt 

Update GPU drivers 

Update motherboard drivers

have you disabled your page file?

 

Otherwise check that your Sata controller is on AHCI mode, If its not switch it and re-install windows.
