My Config:-

GPU--MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr III OC

CPU--AMD FX 4100 (OC at 4.1 Ghz)

PSU--Cooler Master Thunder 600W

RAM--2GB

Win7 OS

Problem:-

In the Nvidia Control Panel i have set it to use my gtx 660 as the physx processor but when i play Metro Last Light, at non HD res, i was getting 25+ fps in some scenarios like the 1st mission with that girl but in the starting(introductory part where i test guns and all), I was getting only 10 fps, on later missions this fps dropped to 4-5 and was unplayable, on turning on PhysX indicator i found that PhysX was running off of my CPU and i am unable to run it off of my GPU pls help also turning off advanced PhysX barely helps.

Have you just tried leaving it on auto? That usually seems to be the best option.

Edit: I read the post again and noticed you have set it to 660, herpderp. Anyway, have you got the latest drivers?

Metro: Last LIght is a system hog. Have you tried to reinstall you drivers and/or Physx?

I have the latest drivers along with Nvidia GPU analyzer which says everything is up to date and the game is also optimized for my PC and it list in the Optimal settings that i could use advanced physX. Also setting the mode to auto doesn't help

Have you tried to run the benchmark? If Physx is the problem you should get a massiv framerate drop in the middle were there is a big explosion. And you should remember that Geforce Experience is still a very new program with some flaws.

Before explosion i was averaging at 30 fps with GPU usage of 50%, after explosion GPU usage drooped to 1% and FPS dropped to 5 fps and ultimately to 2 fps.....AMD why cant u just let nvidia handle the physX, 1st time with AMD and it pretty much sucks as expected.

try and use..    driver-sweeper. to wipe out all Nvidia drivers, then reinstall using the newest drivers

and when i look at

Metro: Last Light System Requirements.. it lists 4GB of ram. as a     min. with windows 7

on this site.

on other sites it said 2gb

Yes 4GB is recommended but i handled Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3 At Max settings averaging 30 fps at both games so metro last light isn't expected to drop to 5 fps at all, also i am running at 1366 X 768 res so ram shouldnt be a prob even further

have you thought about running a 2nd non-matched NVIDIA card. and using that for PhysX computation. it would get it off your cpu
