I hated it when i have to change my 580 for a 780.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I'm the type to buy both cars, bikes and computers but damn dude, that was an upgrade you didn't really need. I mean I'd get it if it was a 980! :D No offense, just trying to find the reason behind the upgrade! :D

Nvidia played it smart. they conveniently skipped 800 series to prevent confusion trick people who normally only upgrade every two generations into upgrading from 780(ti) to 970/980 through subliminal tactics.  ;)
