Upgrade current pc to be a media pc?

As i have bought a new (quite powerful) laptop, I haven't turn on my old desktop pc for weeks now. So, I plan to upgrade the desktop to a media pc.

The specs of the pc:

Motherboard: ASUS F1A55-M LE

CPU: AMD A6-3500

Memory: 4GB Kingston something

GPU: Inno 3D 750Ti OC<--I added this sometime ago

PSU:650W (from local brand called GTR, not very reputable i guess)

storage: seagate 500GB

How can I upgrade this pc and what i can do with it?

For anything but a Media PC...

Get funds..

Transfer the other parts to another Motherboard and CPU setup.

Quadcore Minimum, even cheaper non-k i5's or an AMD FX 4Core or better.

You really need a more powerful CPU to bring it all up to par.

You only as fast as your slowest components allow you to be.

Then Get Funds and Up the Memory to 8GB

Get Funds, Add an SSD for Windows if it's not snappy enough for your needs (as SSD = Snappy instant mouse click action> application response)

For a Media PC - SSD to make it snappy in all menu's and operation. 750Ti is perfect. CPU is plenty Capable for Media Tasks.

Another 4GB ONLY IF it's sluggish with 4GB (Not that I think you'd notice with a tiny workload)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
