No, two different GPU's. Completely different architectures.

No. AMD have much less strict multi-GPU rules than Nvidia, but mixing two different GPUs doesn't work. You should be able to mix 7970s and 7950s with 280Xs though. Not sure about the 280.

(For a better sync without wasted potential, sticking with 280's (non-x) and 7950's are best)

7850 and 270

Anything under this and you shouldn't be cross firing

Basically only if they are a 100% rebrand, you are good for future reference. Always check online first with us or OCN of course.
