Mechanical keyboard for iMac

Hi guys, I am seriously considering switching to an iMac but one of the things holding me back is the terrible keyboard and mouse provided with the machine. There seem to be no good keyboard options available for Macs whereas PC users have an unlimited selection of peripherals. Any thoughts?

You can just plug in any USB keyboard to a Mac.... (And any USB thing)

 

And PC is technically a Mac too.

Just use a K70. I use it on my macbook air with no problems

Any mech will work fine. If wanting the specific key setup, Razer make a BlackWidow Ultimate Mac Edition.

If the lights don't light up hit me up via PM for a terminal command to run to get the lights to light up. I had a problem with this on my lightup keyboard for my mac

Any keyboard will work, some Windows specific features like NKRO over USB won't work, but usually a feature like that has to be manually enabled so it won't cause any issues by default. The modifier keys can be rebound in the system preferences to match the default Mac keyboard layout, Windows layout or make your own.

But don't use the K70 rgb cause they don't have the lighting software for mac

Blackwidow 2014 is a great option because they have support for mac key layout
