Some have you have probably seen a lot of my posts recently, I've been all of over the place with my (first) build, as you'd guess from the title I have $3,500 for my PC build. It's a VIDEO EDITING rig, but I will still game on it a lot. That's effectively the challenge here. Finding the sweet spot between high end workstation PCs and gaming.

This thread is purely to see what YOU would do with this budget in my position. So imagine you're a video editor by day, gaming enthusiast by night! haha

Please use PcPartPicker, peripherals like keyboard, mouse and one monitor are included in the budget. As I am from the UK my budget is around £2,500 pounds, just convert to your currency if need be.

If I had 3500$ Well I wouldn't spend it all on a new PC, but also on a new guitar, and a new skateboard. I've found a new friend to skate with, it's been 3 long years without skating :(

Anyways, with 3500$ for just a PC I would still go with a 4790k instead of X99 if the price includes a monitor and peripherals. But you're going for a video editing rig. So maybe go for a 5930k, 2-way 980's and 16GB of RAM?

Red harbinger cross-desk. new cpu and some female love ;)

im just kidding :)

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

- WCCFTECH

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

5930K, one of the best CPU coolers around, same goes for the SSD and mobo. Decent GPUs and very good PSU and case. 3TB of HDD storage is also a nice amount.

With the GTX 980, which is not too much more, but the cooler isn't that great. But the power consumption drop is a nice bonus.

Edit:

Noticed the updated post, be back with some peripherals and monitor.

70 pounds over, but managed to fit two GTX 980s with the new TWIN FROZR cooler. 500GB SSD and a 1TB HDD will suite well enough. RM750 for all dem niceties, and the Enthoo Primo is just a godly case.

Monitor, no idea, tried to get it as good as I could, without spending 300 pounds. Both the keyboard and mouse are really decent, and are quite aesthetically pleasing.

1. Why the 5930 k over the 5820k. No point in doing that.

2. Really a single 1080p montior for dual 980s?

3.Look at the price for the k70.
