So I am planning to upgrade to the iPhone 6, but after looking at different websites and forums that now I feel like I would become a terrible person for buying "inferior technology" as many refer to it.

My question is this: Do I become a bad person (or iSheep as some call it) just because I want the iPhone simply for the iOS and the ecosystem (I have an iPad)?

I really don't want to start a war about phones, I just want to know why a lot of people look down on people who genuinely like the iPhone for its features rather than hype.

Buy whatever you, as the end user of the device and the one spending money, makes you most satisfied. If you like iOS and prefer the iPhone 6 to its competition then go ahead and get it. As long as you make an informed decision you are not one of the iSheep (those are the ones that buy iPhones and Macs without even looking at the other options).

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).

I have had only iphones and i have recently switched to android i think if i could re do it i would go back to ios just because its so much smoother than android and barely any lag if your a tweaker and like to mess around with stuff tho go with android.

It shouldn't matter what others think, although interesting enough what people say really does have an impact on people. However at the end of day you have to pay for it and use it. Its too bad if someone who lives across the continent doesn't like it.

What matters is that you, the user enjoys the experience of using the device and make use of whatever features that keep you in the ecosystem. Apple isn't the only one with an ecosystem. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to spend some time or at least test an android phone you like before buying a iphone 6 just to make sure you truly still are happy with Apples ios and aren't just buying it because your an "iSheep", buy it because you enjoy using and maybe it brings a little bit of happiness to your life.

I know the feeling, atm I have an iphone 4 and an iPad stuck in the ecosystem. I really want to least try androids because I'm not sure I'm truly liking where Apple is going but for now my iPhone 4 still works and does what I need it to do.

I currently have an android and I unfortunately have to connect my phone to my PC to download music (the files I mean) just so my car can recognize it. I feel like it's the same process with my iPad

I definitely do look into what's available, I don't really mind customization nor do I always multitask, and I have a windows gaming PC so macs isn't my style

A sprint representative assumed I rooted my phone just because I downloaded nova launcher and bought a reskin for apps, I guess he explained that doing that drains my battery faster, but no evidence of that.

I currently have an android device, I don't really do the whole customization or over clocking or any of the android features. Not saying it's bad at all, just something I don't really do

Biggest downside to the iPhone is iTunes. Its not as bad as Linus and Slick make it out to be but it gets really annoying sometimes.

The iPhone 6 looks like it starting to get some issues with it. You're not a bad person because you want it for the iOS. This is all about personal preference and if iOS is what you like then I say go for it. Just wait for all the issues for the iPhone 6 to be resolve then buy it.

Since you're not into customizations, rooting, custom roms and that kind of stuff, your good on the iphone 6. They kinda have a good ecosystem and ios might be the perfect suit for you. i never had a single apple device though lol

Sorry for the long delay, been busy lately

I have iTunes and I didn't encounter any problems with it, I had it ever since the iPod touch 1st gen was released

I definitely will wait for the problems, holy cow. I know it is bad place to see, but on 4chan I see nothing but REDICULOUS amount of hate towards apple and it's products. I don't automatically go for apple every time a new product is released like certain fanatics and I definitely don't bash on Android cause it works for a lot of people, I just don't like being lumped with said hyper fans.

I had tried best of both worlds, I don't use much of the features android offers. I guess I do fit in the "typical Apple User" haha
