Jailbroken ios switching to android cyanogen mod

sperkowsky

Ok so I recently got emailed back from one plus about an media invite.

After a bit of thinking I jumped on the offer sold my iphone 5s on ebay and ordered my new one plus one 64gbs sandstone black.

Now Im completely new to android on a phone but I do have it on my samsung galaxy tab 2.

I also am used to the tweakability of a jailbreak so I was wondering is cyanogen mod similar. Im happy about the custom themes and such.

Lastly some core apps Like what is the best browser or reddit client stuff like that.

I primarily used these apps on my iphone

youtube

instagram

snapchat

calanders

alarms

camera

notes

maps

ebay

soundcloud

twitter

kik

netflix

translate

pebble

dictionary.com

ifunny

imgur

skype

google earth

paypal

twitch

Ibooks( I guess my book library isnt coming with me)

pandora

hulu plus

steam

alien blue

tapatalk

coaches eye

movie box

quizlet

sleep cycle

amazon

craigslist

and facetime (ill probally just start using skype with friends)

Now I know most of those are also on android but name any third party versions if they are better.

thx for the help switching sam

also if you have any tips tell me

You could try without messing with it and just put a launcher on it (Like Themer or Nova Launcher)

That changes the phone quite some bit. And you can just find those on the play store.

well my opo will have it already installed with 11s ;p

CyanogenMod 11 on my Nexus S gives me pretty much all the customization I would want. With my OPO though I'll definitely be rooting it just to install Viper4Android, because the CyanogenMod DSPManager sucks

CyanogenMod is pretty customizable out of the box, but if you want something closer to a jailbroken iPhone, look into rooting and getting the xposed framework. I've already heavily customized my phone with multiple modules. Including getting proper multi window on CM.
