Hello,  I currently have an amd 6300 currently running at stock speeds.  Will it bottleneck?  Please link me to were you get your information.

Thanks! :D

yes it will i had an FX-8320 running at 4.6ghz and it was bottlenecking my GTX 780 in many games including modern games at 1080P.

If you play at 1440P you'll get 40FPS and NOW the card will no longer be bottlenecked...a 780 push upward of 70FPS in most modern games at 1080P and no AMD CPU ATM can do that.

Also, a GTX 970 should be cheaper and it performs better while consuming less energy so you should look for that instead, do the upgrade and then when you'll realise you're not getting all the performance from your new GPU

do just like me and upgrade ot an intel i5 or i7.

Most likely yes it will.

Also I'd suggest a 970 instead as its newer, faster, costs less, uses less power, produces less heat, makes less noise.

I was only interested in the GTX 780 because I could get on brand new for $290-$330 depending which one I went for.

go for it then, you'll still see a huge benefit you'll be able to crank up the anti-alisaing and play most games maxed out at 50+ FPS it's worth it

Just don't monitor your GPU load constantly to see if your card is bottlenecked and you'll be fine...always play with 4xMSAA or better!

You play at 1080P right?

Heres the thing,  my case maxes out at GPU of 10.5 in.  So I would have to order a new case.

How long do you think the 780 will be in stock at that price?

until they are all sold out...people are buying them for SLI atm so i would say not for long will you still be able to get one new online or in store...but the 970 is better and won't cost much more if anything.
