It's pretty sketchy. It's kinda legal but it mostly isn't if that makes sense. But it does work.

It's sorta legal but i wouldn't risk it, plus their msdn keys than will expire after an year or two.

I know a lot of folks that did in on the forum and there is giant thread about it. It works. And I think that Windows is overpriced for what it is so If you don't really have the money for it (without losing a lot of performance) go ahead.
