Dual monitor setup for work/school/dev

ssbob

Current setup:

Lenovo T430 with docking station (and nvidia discrete graphics)

1 x 24" 1920x1200

1 x 22" 1920x1080

I can run 2 monitors connected by either DVI or DisplayPort

What I am looking for is advice on what to purchase:

2 x 27" 1080p monitors (figure my discrete graphics cannot drive a 1440p monitor, let alone a pair)

or

1 x 27" IPS monitor (IPS = 1440?)

or

something else?

Budget isn't really a problem, just need solid recommendations. Primary use is work (need a lot of screen for work), secondary is school, and then gaming

Thanks

IPS is not what you think it means. It's like a different looking (and of course working) display, not a 1440p display. I can't really give advice, as I'm not knowledgeable on the type of monitors you're looking for
