300r airflow plan
Hot air rises. Having the top fans as intakes is an extremely bad idea for temps and dust. This wouldn't be a very cool machine or clean machine either. Top fans need to be exhausts. As long as you have 1 or 2 fans as intakes at the front and 1 or 2 fans at the top (Im currently running 2 on front and 2 on the top on my 300R) you cannot go wrong. I found that when I first got the case and was running 1 fan at the top, because of the mesh at the top, I was getting dust coming in so easily. So to fill the space I have 2 140mm fans at the top as exhausts and 1 140mm and 1 120mm fans at the front as intakes. Pretty happy with that setup and it works as cool as I need it to.
No need to worry about side fans either. That can cause a clash in air flow or negative air pressure.
