Another graphics card upgrade question

So with the new GTX 970/980 being released I'm thinking it might be a good time to upgrade but i need some advice. I currently have a 7870xt and while it still runs every game i play relatively fine at high settings I'm wondering if buying a GTX 970 would be a worth while change. I definitely wanna upgrade to 1440p or even a 4k monitor down the road but for now I'm sticking to 1920x1080.

 

So what do you guys think? Get the 970 or should I hold off and stick with the 7870 for now

The one you have now is good, but if you get the 970 you can SLI in the future and 4k would be playable at medium to high settings. But if you can get the 980 it's much better

I would wait until the 25th because AMD has another announcement to make. But if you are going 1440 or 4k the 970 is a really good deal

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Thats good to hear i have to wait a week or two anyways before i could make a purchase. Be nice if they announce something good

Im just hoping that it will rival the 980 and make nvidia release gm200 early like the 290/x made nvidia drop the 780ti

I wait and see, but probably still go 870/980 unless AMD can come out with a card that runs cooler, performs better, for a lower cost than the 980 (Which is unlikely because it's AMD, and their stuff runs hotter generally speaking)

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
