My First Build.

Hey i'm a new builder and I have decided to build a gaming rig this holiday season and id like to get some of you guy's opinions on the parts i chose.

 

1. MOBO.) ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

 

2. Case.) Deepcool Tesseract SW Mid Tower with side window and 2 included fans. Its black with blue led's.

 

3. GPU.)Sapphire Radeon r9 270x vaporx I will be running 2 of them in crossfire

 

4. Power Supply.) Silverstone SFX series sx600-G 600w + 12v 80 plus gold fully modular power supply.

 

5. Storage.) 1tb seagate barracuda hard drive

 

6. CPU.) AMD 6 core vishera 3.5gh socket am3+95w desktop processor

 

7. Ram.) GSkill ripjaws x series 8 gb (2x4) 240 pin DDR3

 

Also I know I will have some cooling issues I would like to know if you guys could recommend (Still staying within the blue and black build theme) some fans because my case dose support a couple more 120mm fans..... P.S This is my first build so if these parts aren't compatible i would love to know that too. Also I plan to get these parts from newegg.

Ypu have plenty z97 and h97 cheap boards ( ashrock, MSI ) that have blue theme.

Get an i5 and 970, evga has blue accent

Where are you from btw? Whats budget? when are you building? Peripherals? SSD?

Are you sure about case choice? CAn you make pcpartpicker build ?

This build looks great, all the parts look like they are going to be fine together. In terms of blue and black fans, id go with Silverstone AP121 and AP141 fans or if you want to be like everyone else get some Corsair fans and change the colour ring to blue. The silverstone fans undervolt well if you dont want them to run at full speed and move a lot of air.

Dont crossfire mid range cards get a 280/x or 290 instead. Or if you dont mind nvidia get a 970.

And could you describe some of the parts a bit better (cpu)

I would replace the CF 270X with one 280X/290 or even a 970 if the overall GPU cost is less than 2 270Xs. If you can stretch the budget  bump up the CPU to the 8320, those extra 2 cores will make a difference.
