Hello,

 

I have a Gigabyte 780Ti and now that the new series came out I am thinking that it would be a good opportunity to SLI the card.

But is the new architecture better and it's more valuable to go with the 980 with the option of SLI?

Better option: Grab another 780 Ti on the cheaps.

As FSX said, the better option (performance wise) would be grab another cheap 780 ti. Zotac has a cheap 780 ti. Here in the UK I found one for £400 whereas most 780 ti's are £480-£510+. 

A tip if you go for SLI:

If you have the same clocks on both cards change them (on one card) by 10mhz and micro stutter wont be as much of a problem.

 

However, it wouldn't hurt to go with a 980.

I don't really like the Zotac design since it doeasn't fit with my other hardware. I am gonna wait for the 780Ti's price to drop and then i am gonna buy on. Thanks

780 Ti's are discontinued in case you haven't heard.

Yeah I know but not every single 780Ti is going to be sold.
