Ok, so I will be (hopefully) getting a new machine sometime in the near future, and I was wondering if I had anything (if not everything) wrong in my build.

What I want to attent with this build is optimal performance with little cost, I'll post my build down below.

I play mainly MMORPGs, and RPGs (WoW, Tera, Rift, Archeage, and a little bit of Aion), I also play some FPS (CS:GO, TF2,L4D2,etc...), and LoL.

I want this machine to run all those at 1080p +60 fps, but I don't want anything overkill, I'll try to explain my reasoning behind the components below, and please correct me if I'm wrong at something.

[PCPartPicker part list](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cK6FCJ) / [Price breakdown by merchant](http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cK6FCJ/by_merchant/)

Type|Item|Price
:----|:----|:----
**CPU** | [intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80648i75930k) | $564.99 @ NCIX US - Not sure about this one... I don't know if at some point in the future I want to run a 4-SLI, so I picked it just to be "safe". Although I'm not sure... (I think this is a bad choice to be honest ...)
**CPU Cooler** | [Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd15) | $93.80 @ Amazon - I don't like water/liquid cooling, and I heard Noctua was a great brand for fans.
**Motherboard** | [Asus X99-DELUXE ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-x99deluxe) | $381.99 @ SuperBiiz - I want a motherboard that can last for years, I think LGA2011-3 sockets will be the standard sometime soon, but I'm not sure, I think this will be ok if I think on a long term perspective since it's compatible with DDR4, and all...
**Memory** | [G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f43000c15q16grk) | $389.99 @ Newegg - This will become a standard also, so I want to be ready for it, but I'm not sure if this would make this machine ideal... Since this is pretty new, and all...
**Storage** | [samsung 840 EVO 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7te1t0bw) | $429.00 @ Amazon - I need/want 1TB storage, and I don't want HDDs, so I took the cheapest SSD I found.
**Video Card** | [Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx9804gd5) | $559.99 @ Amazon - From all the things I've heard this seems to be the GPU to go.
**Case** | [NZXT Phantom (Black) ATX Full Tower Case](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/nzxt-case-phan001bk) | $119.99 @ Amazon - Loved the design and color, I don't think this has anything to do with being an ideal machine though.
**Power Supply** | [Corsair RM 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-rm1000) | $129.99 @ Newegg - Will give me enough energy if I ever feel like getting a second GPU (not sure about that though).
**Optical Drive** | [LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/lg-optical-drive-wh16ns40) | $54.99 @ Newegg - My family needs this...
 | | **Total**

Ok, so I want to make this as Ideally as possible, taking into account:

*Possible 2/3-SLI update in the future.

*Mobo compatibility with future CPUs, and RAM.

Highest performance at the lowest price. (Taking in consideration all of the above).

Opinions please, and thank you.

The whole thing is overkill, an i5 4690K + GTX 970 would be fine.

WAIT if you need 1tb of hdd room, just get like 2x512gb's or 4x256gb's of a cheaper brand and put them in RAID 0, it would be much faster then anything else

But also far less reliable. And reliability is pretty nice to have. And $429 isn't terrible for 1TB of SSD space, since 4x256 would be $480 and you would still have to find some way to back it all up.

4690k for sure. MAYBE 4790k if you want to go a bit over the top if you like multitasking while playing games.\

Never go quad SLI, that's just stupid. Save that money and upgrade your graphics cards when new ones get released.

What would be an optimal SLI setup?
