Hey guys,
I'm planning on getting a custom PC built and although i'm not a newbie (I use a custom PC but this was built by my brother and I'm planning to build one for myself)
I have some doubts regarding my PC hardware wheather it's going to be enough.
I'm not a PC gamer per se, I play on console, but I am planning to play games (some graphic intensive) on my new PC and would also like to point out that it needs to go through 5 years of college with me.
Here's my hardware planning :
Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

I would also like to point out that I'm trying my best to make them last the 5 years and not update them often

I tried to move away from SSD because im not big in managing my installs and downloads so i just went with HD and also I will be nneding a lot space and 1 TB won't cover it

I can also see you've taken away the price from some of the hardware and invested in a GTX 970 and i'm wondering if its worth considering its almost double the cost of R9 270x ?
