PSU Question

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Considering the lower power draw of 980's, you'd be fine with a solid 750w.

Hey All,

So I have a question about the PSU I have, and i'm thinking it's fine, but i'm not sure if I should step up to an AX1200i.   Will an AX860i work for the below build or will that not be enough with over clocking?

Rig:

CM HAF 932 Advanced (x9 Noctua fans)

i7 4790k

ASUS M7H

ASUS Xonar Essence STX  (Using with my Beyerdynamics DT 990 Pros)

ASUS Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer

Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3-1600 CL9 RAM

Samsung 840 EVO 1TB

Seagate Barracuda 3TB

SLI EVGA GTX 980

D5 Vario Pump (pushing to CPU, cards, and 360 & 2x240mm rads)

And yes, I read the sticky which said SLI 980s should only require 700W, but I wasn't sure with the other items I have and planning to OC if that would be enough with the 860W.
