Hey, my current gaming system is build by a friend of my. I actually want a better looking case to put on my desk..! I have watched loads of video's about building a pc. Is it simple to put my system in a new case with no expierence in building? I'd like to know your opinions guys! Luc

It's not difficult at all. You just need to be a bit careful in handling the motherboard and don't forget to put the standoffs in. To transfer just do the following:

1. Remove the graphics card, leave the CPU, CPU cooler and RAM and remove all wiring

2. Remove all screws that hold the motherboard in place

3. Take the motherboard out BY LIFTING IT WITHOUT TILTING OR ANYTHING.

4. Put the standoffs in the new case.

5. Put the I/O shield in the new case

6. Put the motherboard in the case CAREFULLY and again without tilting (otherwise you risk damaging the motherboard)

7. Screw the motherboard into place and put everything back together.

Linus/JayzTwoCents/Tek Syndicate have reviews on it so you can find those.

for a simple build it wouldn't be too hard but if your build is complex I would recommend getting a hand from your friend. (make sure you help him do it, it might take longer but you will get the experience.)

If you give your specs (including cpu cooler) I can tell you if there are any big do's or don'ts in the move.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

Since your using a air cooler you won't need to remove the cooler which makes this easier.

the only big thing you want to check is to make sure all of your screws are out of the motherboard. tall ram or a large cooler can make it hard to see them all so here is a pic of ( I assume your board was the asus x97-A if it was not ill make a new pic of the correct one) with all 9 of the motherboard screw holes circled in red.

Yes it will effect the boot order. if you put them in the wrong place it might not boot into windows or it may just take longer too boot.

Either way you can go into the bios and set the boot order after the move and it will work fine.

Both are the same as my forum name, I'm at work now so if it picks up it might take a bit for me too respond.

Also if it is not something very specific too what you are doing on your PC try and ask on the forum so if someone has a similar issue they will be able to find the answer on the forum.
